Weather Today
Back in th 1600's they experienced rain, snow, sunshine, cloudy days, hurricanes, floods, and many other types of weather. Here in the 21st century we experience arguably the same weather (maybe just a litle variation in temperatures, but that's deabtable). So what is the difference then? Well, we still use barometers and weather maps, however, now they are a whole lot more accurate.

You may tune in to see the weather and think to yourself how inaccurate the weatherman always is, but let me assure you that the technology they use is unbelievably spot-on. The technology they use are satellites that orbit Earth an monitor cloud formation, wind speed, temperature, rainfall and much more. The coolest thing about these satellites, though, is that they can predict the path of storms and which areas will be hit the hardest. Take the recent hurricane Sandy, the satellites and computer systems monitored her and calculated various routes she could take and the probability of each. In the end meteorologist were quite certain that Sandy would hit the north-eastern shore of the US, a path usually very unlikely. Isn't amazing how far we've come since 400 years ago?
