Isaac Newton's Childhood
Isaac Newton was born the very year that the legendary Galileo Galilei died, 1942. In fact Newton was born on Christmas day! These two men had a lot in common when it came to science, but not much when it comes to their life (for Galileo's life click here).

Newton was born in Colsterworth, England, however, he spent his school years in Woolsthorpe. Isaac was named after his father and his mother's name was Hannah. When he was born, young Isaac was frail and could not even hold his head erect. After his birth, Isaac Newton never layed eyes on his father again.
As a teen, Isaac grew very religious and confessed of many of his sins, which were mostly caused by his short and ill temper. |

When Isaac was of the age, his mother and late step-father payed for him to attend Cambridge University in Trinity College. There, Isaac developed a love and knack for physics and science through the works of his predecessors, inluding Galileo.
